An XRN Engineering built 4.2 liter inline 6 powers the car. It produces 275 bhp at the flywheel. Triple side draft Weber carburetors send air through a C-Type head and out through a 2-in/2-out stainless street exhaust system. Power is sent through a 5 speed overdrive transmission topped by a period C-Type shift knob and out to a modern Jaguar XJ rear differential with a 3.06:1 final drive. The suspension is independent at all 4 corners with adjustable shocks. Brakes are power assisted with 4 piston calipers up front and 2 pistons at the rear. Steering is unasisted rack & pinion. The wheels are 72 spoke replica Dunlops with period correct bias ply racing tires plus spare

The tubular steel space frame was replicated form original factory drawings and the body panels were made from an original C-Type, chassis #XKC043 using wooden bucks. These cars were built to be as period correct in every detail where possible. For ease of maintenance and drivability the suspension, ignition, brakes and cooling system have been upgraded with modern components
