San Francisco Sports Cars offers this unique Ford Roadster for sale. This beauty was built to emulate the 1950s Bonneville Salt flats style. It is titled and registered as a 1931 Ford. The odometer shows just 1,403 miles since its recent completion. The beautiful handmade aluminum body was hammered out by Tony's Hot Rods. The body is channeled 11" over a Pete & Jake's '32 chassis with a coilover Ford 9" rear end and a drop spindle front end with disc brakes.

This roadster is motivated by a brand new 350 cubic inch LT-1 crate motor with 3x2 Rochester induction and custom fabricated fuel rails and carb linkages. This is hooked to a TH350 trans. Power is approximated to be in the neighborhood of 350. The engine breathes through either an under car exhaust with Cherry Bomb mufflers or cut outs right off the header collectors.

Power gets to the ground through vintage looking Coker radials which have the appearance of bias-ply tires. Sized 6.70-15 up front and 8.00-15 rear are wrapped around chromed steel wheels with disc hubcaps.

There are many custom and unique details throughout - the headlights are original (and functioning) polished E&J units from the 1920's, the grille is a custom fabbed piece by Busy Bee in cast aluminum, the rear decklid is topped with a Moal Competition fuel cap, Brooklands windscreens are period correct. The seats are brand new aircraft inspired aluminum shells.

Some modern touches have been added as well. The vintage looking sprint car steering wheel mounts on a tilting column. The electrical system is 12V with a dummy generator covering a modern alternator and a Mallory electronic ignition keeps the engine firing reliably every time.
