Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service Excellence:
- Greet customers and provide a warm welcome to the service department.
- Listen attentively to customers’ concerns and accurately document service requests.
- Communicate service recommendations, estimated costs, and timelines clearly and transparently to customers.
- Keep customers informed of the status of their vehicle throughout the service process and address any questions or concerns promptly.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering a personalized and attentive service experience.
- Technical Assistance:
- Assist technicians with diagnosing vehicle issues and performing initial inspections.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.
- Provide support to technicians by retrieving parts, tools, and technical documentation as needed.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure that all repairs meet our dealership’s standards of excellence.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest automotive technologies and service procedures through training and professional development.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate and organized records of service orders, invoices, and customer communications.
- Schedule service appointments and coordinate with technicians to optimize workflow and meet customer deadlines.
- Manage parts inventory and reorder supplies as needed to support service operations.
- Assist with billing and payment processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with other members of the service team to maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Sales Support:
- Identify opportunities to upsell service packages, maintenance plans, and additional accessories to customers.
- Educate customers on the benefits of recommended services and provide options to meet their needs and budget.
- Act as a liaison between customers and the sales team, referring potential sales leads and promoting customer retention.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in automotive repair is a plus.
- Previous experience in a customer service role within the automotive industry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with basic automotive systems and components.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in computer software for scheduling, invoicing, and record-keeping.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
