As the Director of Service at San Francisco Sports Cars, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing all aspects of our car service center operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction, efficient workflow management, and the implementation of best practices to maintain our reputation for excellence in automotive services

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of service advisors, technicians, and administrative staff to deliver exceptional service to customers.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of service center staff.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Customer Service Excellence:
    • Set and maintain high standards for customer service, ensuring that all interactions with customers are professional, courteous, and efficient.
    • Handle escalated customer issues and complaints promptly and effectively, striving for resolution to maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Implement customer feedback mechanisms to gather insights and continuously improve service quality.
  • Operational Management:
    • Oversee daily operations of the service center, including scheduling appointments, allocating resources, and managing workflow to optimize efficiency and productivity.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards in all service center activities.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as service turnaround time, customer satisfaction scores, and revenue targets, and take proactive measures to address any deviations.
  • Inventory and Parts Management:
    • Manage inventory levels of automotive parts and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels to support service operations while minimizing excess inventory and related costs.
    • Develop relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms for the procurement of parts and supplies.
    • Implement processes for accurate tracking and reporting of parts usage, returns, and inventory replenishment.
  • Business Development and Growth:
    • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to identify opportunities for upselling services, promoting service center offerings, and expanding customer base.
    • Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to develop strategies for service center growth and differentiation.
    • Explore partnerships and collaborations with other businesses or organizations to enhance service offerings and reach new market segments.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a leadership role within the automotive service industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems and repair processes.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving business results.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
